Put your chapstick down cause I have something that will help you to have smooth kiss worthy lips you have been dreaming about. For many of us, dry lips is a constant problem all year round but in the winter time this is a problem that plagues almost all of us. This one small routine will ultimately transform your lips and have you saying peace out to chapped lips forever!
Now listen girl, I am going to be honest with you. Exfoliating my lips used to be a foreign concept to me. Maybe it is for you too and today I am looking to change that. As I learn more about beauty, I learn these things that are total game changers for my beauty routine. This is one I have been doing for over 6 months now and I thought I would share it with all of you!
Here are 3 reasons why it’s important to exfoliate your lip:
- As you remove the dead skin cells from your lips you make room for new soft layers that give you smooth kissable lips.
- Your lip products look more vibrant and last longer.
- Exfoliating your lips helps to retain moisture in your lips helping you to prevent dry cracked lips in the future.
I normally buy lip scrubs, but I decided this time to make some at home to show you how easy it is. I’ve listed the recipe and ingredients for each lip scrub below the video.
Coffee Lip Scrub: This lip scrub is for my coffee lovers. Coffee helps to tighten and lighten the skin so it is a great exfoliator!
1 TSP of Honey
1 TSP of Jojoba Oil
2 TSP of Coffee Grounds (I used a K cup)
Sweet Honey Lip Scrub: This lip scrub is really sweet! Honey is great as an exfoliator because it moisturizes and helps fade darkness, which you might have on your lips if you have never exfoliated.
1 TSP Honey
1 TSP Jojoba Oil
1 TSP Brown Sugar
1 TSP White Sugar
Anti-aging Lip Scrub: I decided to name this one an anti aging lip scrub because of one ingredient: Uplift Eye Serum. Uplift is formulated to replenish and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and as we age so do our lips.
1 TSP Honey
1 TSP Uplift
2 TSP White Sugar
Give these lip scrubs and let me know which one is your favorite!
